Parent & tot Playtime

The Parent & Tot Playtime program aims to facilitate family bonding in an enjoyable and nurturing setting. Parents/caregivers and their children have the chance to participate in free play, listen to stories, and engage in entertaining arts and crafts activities.. This program also provides a healthy snack for the children.*

  • This is a drop-in program.
  • Program date: Tuesdays from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (September – June).
  • Program fee: Free.**
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

*Parents of children with food sensitivities are asked to provide their own snack. All snacks MUST be peanut free. **There is a $2.00 per child fee for daycares or paid caregivers 

baby & me

The Baby & Me program aims to strengthen the bond between families and their babies aged 12 months and below within a nurturing and enjoyable setting. Participants can engage in free play, crafts, music sessions, and movement activities. Additionally, the program offers a nutritious snack for the babies.*

  • Pre-registration is required.
  • Program date: Wednesdays form 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (September – June).
  • Program fee: Free.**
  • This program is open to families with babies ages 12 months and under. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

*Parents of children with food sensitivities are asked to provide their own snack. All snacks MUST be peanut/free.

Tot’s play zone

The Tots’ Play Zone program offers families and their children free play sessions in a nurturing and fun setting. Parents and kids can discover different areas within the center, such as the sensory and science nook, drama corner, baby play area, art and craft tables, and physical activity zone. Plus, the program provides a healthy snack for the children.*

  • This is a drop-in program.
  • Program date: TBD. (Sep – Jun).
  • Program fee: Free.**
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 5. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

*Parents of children with food sensitivities are asked to provide their own snack. All snacks MUST be peanut free. **There is a $2.00 per child fee for daycares or paid caregivers 

drop-in & Play

The Drop-in & Play program offers families and children free play sessions to participate in a variety of activities at the center. These activities include exploring areas such as the sensory and science nook, drama corner, baby play area, art and craft tables, and physical activity zone. Additionally, children are provided with nutritious snacks during the sessions.*

  • This is a drop-in program.
  • Program date: The program operates year-round, occasionally on Saturdays, with announcements usually posted on our social media (Facebook) a week prior to each session.
  • Program fee: Free.**
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

S.T.E.M. SPACE

The S.T.E.M. Space program provides families and children with complimentary play sessions to engage in a range of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities. Moreover, children receive nutritious snack packs.

  • This is a drop-in program.
  • Program date: Once a month on Thursdays from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. (September – June)
  • Program fee: Free.**
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

Junior sensory days

The Junior Sensory Days program is available to families and their children during the summer months. It includes engaging science experiments, free play sessions, and healthy snacks for the kids.*

  • This is a drop-in program.
  • Program date: TBD. (July – August)
  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

Mud ‘n’ Pot gardening classes

The Mud ‘N’ Pot gardening classes are open to families and their children throughout the summer season. The program features engaging nature stories, gardening activities, free play sessions, and nutritious snacks for the kids.*

  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

mini masters’ art classes

The Mini Masters’ Art Classes are available for families and their children during the summer season. These sessions provide interactive art experiences for toddlers, incorporating various painting techniques. Additionally, children can enjoy free playtime and nutritious snacks* during the program.

  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

Special events

Families with children are welcome to partake in our seasonal special events, featuring engaging activities, arts & crafts, a free play session, and delightful treats!*

  • This is a drop-in event.
  • Program date: Details about the event, including its type, date, and time, will be posted on our Facebook page 1-2 weeks prior to the event. (Please note that all programs and special events for children ages 0-6 years are featured in our monthly calendar.)
  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0- 6 years. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

After School Zone

The After School Zone program caters to students in grades 1-6, offering a range of activities such as games, drama, cooking, science experiments, art & craft, physical activities, and more. Additionally, the program provides participants with healthy and nutritious snacks.*

  • When: TBD.
  • Who: Grades 1-6.
  • Cost: Free. Pre-registration is required.

Girls Zone

The Girls’ Group program offers a peer-to-peer mentoring initiative for girls, focusing on nurturing relationships, self-esteem, and self-worth. Participants engage in team-building exercises and delve into their emotions through art, drama, music, sharing circles, and more. Additionally, the program provides participants with healthy and nutritious snacks.

  • Where: CFY Centre, #107-100 Main Street, Carlyle, S0C 0R0..*
  • Program date: TBD.
  • Cost: Free. Pre-registretion is required. (Registration will be announced on Facebook closer to the event date.)
  • Who: Girls in grades 2-8.

NO SCHOOL DAYS

The No School Days program provides enjoyable activities, arts and crafts, and free play during school breaks, and even beyond! Additionally, each child receives a nutritious snack bag as part of the program.

  • When: The event type, date, and time will be posted on our Facebook page 1-2 weeks before the event.
  • Where: CFY Centre, #107-100 Main Street, Carlyle, S0C 0R0.
  • Cost: Free or available at a low cost (depending on the event type).
  • Who: Grades 1-6. Pre-registration Required.*

Summer day club

Looking for exciting summer activities? Dive into the CFY Summer Day Club! Participate in a week of Junior Summer Day Camp for kids in grades 1-3 or a week of Senior Summer Camp for those in grades 4-6. Additionally, the program provides participants with healthy and nutritious snacks.*

  • Program date: July 14th – August 8th for children in grades 1-3.
  • Program date: August 11th – August 15th for children in grades 4-6.
  • Times: TBD.
  • Program fee: $50/weekly pass.
  • Where: CFY Centre, #107-100 Main St. Carlyle, S0C 0R0

*If your child plans to bring snacks to the program, kindly ensure that all snacks are completely free of peanuts and nuts. **We have reached full capacity for the Junior Summer Camp registration and are no longer accepting any more participants.

coffee & connect

The Coffee & Connect program consists of six sessions of parental workshops inspired by the Nobody’s Perfect Program. It offers free sessions covering various parental topics, complimentary educational materials, childcare services during the sessions, and snacks* for participants and their children. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for parents to bond, connect, and make new friends.

  • Pre-registration is required for this program
  • Program date: TBD. (4-6 times throughout the year)
  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with children ages 0 – 5 and first-time expecting parents. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

Parent cafÉ

The Parent Café program takes place from July to August and includes short parental workshops. Parents and caregivers can engage with their children through enjoyable free play and activities. This program is an excellent chance for parents to bond and connect. Moreover, it offers children a healthy snack.*

  • Program fee: Free.
  • This program is open to families with babies ages 0 – 18 months. (Older siblings are welcome too!)

  1. Jenn the Play Room looks great! I love the decorating and the colors!! I miss coming there too!….I have a 4th baby now, Dariyah, 11 wks old, she a wonderful little girl!     1. HI Donna! I’m sorry, we don’t have any specific programs open for boys right now. But check back with us regularly. Our At Home Alone program is usually run through the schools – we are waiting on the afterschool program green light with covid regulations. Hopefully we can set one up for the new year! Please contact the Carlyle Public Library for afterschool programming that they are currently running, and the OneChurch.ca have just re-opened their youth centre on railway. Again, check back with us again soon as things will be changing for our schedule in the New Year. 🙂
