Established in 2003, Cornerstone Family and Youth is a non-profit, charitable organization offering positive educational and recreational programs and activities for children, youth, young adults and families within the community of Carlyle and surrounding area.

Our Mission:

Children are full of potential. They are our most powerful asset for the present and future. To reach their full potential, families, children and youth need opportunities to succeed. At Cornerstone Family and Youth we offer positive educational and recreational programs with little or no barriers, we provide opportunities to our community and surrounding area.

                                         Mackenzie started working as the Summer Coordinator for Cornerstone Family and Youth’s (CFY) summer camp in June 2017. She then began working as an assistant for CFY’s family drop in programs at the Carlyle Library Family Room. Starting as of April 2018, she is now the Temporary Coordinator at Cornerstone Family and Youth.

Jennifer has worked actively in all departments of Cornerstone Family and Youth (CFY) since her start in 2008.  She has played a key role in the development of Cornerstone Family and Youth Core programming including: The Playroom Program, Early Childhood and After School Art Programs, CFY Summer Day Camp, Special Events and Day Camps, After School Programs, Safety Programs, Family Outreach, Family Carnival, Community Halloween Event, Festival of Trees, and Girls Group Mentoring.
Her work to develop and grow these programs is the result of successful data collection and analysis, fundraising and grant writing, co-ordination and organization of services, policy and procedure development, communication and advertisement of services, and community outreach and partnerships.
Her work on the Girls Group Mentoring program has grown into a national partnership with the Canadian Women’s Foundation and has been used as a pilot model for a national standard on Girls Group Mentoring program development.
