Active Afterschool Program: January Round-Up

January brought many fun afterschool activities to both Carlyle and Manor Elementary.  The weather co-operated enough for some fun outdoor activities, cooking, art and science activities.  We also did plenty of running around.

Kids from Kindergarten – Grade 6 participated from both schools participated weekly.  Please check-out the slide-show below to see what we have been up to this month.  Stay tuned for our February activities 🙂

Festival of Trees

The 2014 CFY Festival of Trees was a success!! R-tworx: Koi Fish

Last week the kids enjoyed learning how to make a basic tear drop shape and turn it into a fish.  The fish were drawn in pastel / crayon and then the background filled in with watercolor paints.  It was a blast.

CFY is Now Taking Cookie Orders

This year CFY would like to do your holiday baking for you.

We’re excited to tell you that we are taking holiday cookie orders in advance.
Because our cookies aren’t just cookies, they’re works of art!  Our beautifully wrapped cookies will make the perfect gift for your employee, co-worker, loved one or teacher… Or keep them for yourself!

Our beautiful gingerbread cookies will be available as:

$2.00 each – extra large (5″) single cookies wrapped and tied with a bow and gift card

$10.00 1/doz large size (4″) cookies in a gift box tied with a bow and gift card.

All proceeds from this sale go towards Cornerstone Family and Youth Children’s Programming in Carlyle and Area. The cookies themselves will be lovingly prepared by local volunteers and artists.

Cookies will be made to order and can be delivered anytime after the dicken’s festival. Please submit your order to CFY before November 24th. Call 453-2666 or email cornerstoneprograms@sasktel.net
