We have started our summer programming for the little guys and today was our first day of Mini Masters. We had so much fun making sun catchers and the rain held off so we were even able to go outside for a little bit.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day at the playroom! We did 2 fun crafts that we’re all about the green and snack was all about rainbows. We also learned a fun new song about a leprechaun. The sneaky leprechaun left us a surprise in the office and we had lots of fun watching the “magic”. (Baking soda paste made into rocks with coins hidden inside. We added them to vinegar to uncover the treasure. Fun idea found on Pinterest)

The month of December, thanks to help from Pinterest..love Pinterest, has been all about Christmas…love Christmas! Our themes were gingerbread, elves and Christmas. This week is the last week of playroom until the new year so I made it a literacy day/Christmas party/playroom. We sang our songs, did craft and had snack but then we played some games and each family went home with the book Mooseltoe, colouring book, crayons and temporary tattoos.

This week our theme was Remembrance Day. It’s pretty tough finding books for the little guys so I went with one about Canada and one about home. We then had a craft for each day.
It’s hard to believe Halloween is just around the corner. This week we made our Halloween crafts. We made “spooky” ghosts and did some potato stamping in the shape of Jack-o-lanterns. For snack we had what the kids called “Halloween oranges”.
Next week will be our Halloween party so remember to come in your best costumes.
