This holiday season has been the busiest season ever for us at Cornerstone Family and Youth. We have accomplished so much in a short period of time, The Playroom Grand Opening, Gingerbread Cookie Sales and our Annual Festival of Trees fundraiser. These events were made possible by some very committed volunteers, families and businesses.
To our local businesses who kindly donated items to our auction, thank you. Because of you we were successful in raising $2200.00 to use toward our programming.
To the local artists who donated their talents to our Grand Opening event (you were all absolutely amazing) and the local parents worked for hours on some of the yummiest and prettiest cookies we have seen, thank you. We are humbled to have you all on working with us.
To the Dicken’s Festival committee who were available and accommodating to our fundraisers, thank you. You have helped us keep our Festival of Trees Auction a Christmas tradition in this community.
To our dedicated and wonderful Observer newspaper staff who over the past year have helped us raise awareness about our programming, thank you. Your articles and advertisements have been nothing short of professional.
To those that purchased cookies and auction items and to one special person who knew nothing about our programming except that she wanted to purchase a new toy for our Playroom, thank you. Thank you because your small donations will be used to further quality family and children’s programming here in our community.
And last, but most of all, to those that attend our programs, thank you. Without you there would be no reason at all for Cornerstone Family and Youth. You give us the motivation to succeed in this community.
If we could name names the list would go on for pages and that is something amazing in itself. It is at this time that we would like to say thank you (a hundred times, thank you!) for your support in helping us build on our community services. Without your help none of our achievements this year could have been possible. All the best to you and yours this season and into 2011.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Sedor
