CFY To Host Author’s Tour

On Thursday May 13th Cornerstone Family and Youth will Host the Culture on the go Author’s Tour.

Authors Bonnie Dunlop, Larry Warwaruk, David Glaze and Tanner Wilson will read from their work at 1 p.m. on May 13 at the Carlyle Public Library.  Admission is free.  This event is open to the public; everyone is welcome.  Books by the authors will be available for sale and signing.  These readings are co-hosted by the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and the Cornerstone Regional Economic Development Authority (REDA). This event is made possible thanks to funding from the Saskatchewan Arts Board, SaskCulture, SaskLotteries and Canada Council.

The public is invited to the Carlyle Public Library on May 13th at 1:30 PM.  Please stay and chat with the Author’s – coffee and donuts are on us!

Background

Bonnie Dunlop of Swift Current grew up on a farm in southwestern Saskatchewan and some of the traits and quirks of the characters in her short stories were taken straight from her childhood memories.

Larry Warwaruk of Outlook will read from two new manuscripts: Bone Coulee, an adult novel set in rural Saskatchewan and Brovko and the Snow Walker, a young adult novel, a sequel to Andrei and the Snow Walker.

David Glaze of Saskatoon, a former CBC reporter and weekly newspaper editor, has published six books including Danger in Dead Man’s Mine (2009).

Tanner Wilson of Saskatoon, who has nine years experience writing musical ballads and poetry, will read from his graphic novel that is a work in progress entitled Mr. Gentleman.

These readings are hosted by the Saskatchewan Writers Guild. This event is made possible thanks to funding from the Saskatchewan Arts Board, SaskCulture, SaskLotteries, and Canada Council.
